Calendar, Schedule Request, & Transportation Request Updates

Calendar Date Picker:

You can now go straight to a specific date on the calendar without scrolling month by month to find the date you need.

Step 1: On the calendar page, click the date box next to the "Today" button. Then click on the desired date in the mini calendar that appears. You can click the left and right arrows at the top of the mini calendar to switch months. After clicking on a date in the mini calendar, your calendar page will be updated to display the date you've chosen.

Attribute Filter Option:

You can now filter the calendar by attributes related to requests, such as technology or food service needs for schedule requests. Check it out:

Step 1: On the calendar page, click the "Filter" button. Then, hover over the "Attribute" option and select all desired attributes. The calendar page will be updated to display only the requests that contain information related to the attributes you selected from the filter menu.

Custom Date Picker for Repeating Schedule Requests:

See below to learn how to submit a schedule request that repeats on random dates.

Step 1: When creating a new schedule request, select "Custom" from the "Repeats" drop down list.

Step 2: Click inside the box next to "*On" and select the first repeating date from the mini calendar. The first date that you selected will be added to the text box and the mini calendar will remain visible so you can continue to select other dates. You can click the left and right arrows at the top of the mini calendar to switch months. Each new date that you select will be added to the text box. When you finish selecting the repeating dates, continue entering information for the request and click save at the bottom of the page.

Copy a Schedule Request:

Learn how to copy or duplicate a schedule request, which will automatically populate certain information for the new request (building, resource, etc), but also enable you to modify the event name, date, time, etc.

Step 1: Click on the "Copy request" icon across from the request's name on the schedule request grid (see first photo below). Alternatively, you can click the "Copy request" button when viewing or reading a schedule request (see second photo below).

Step 2: Modify the request information as needed and click save at the bottom of the page.

Schedule Request Conflict Detection Update:

A request that has scheduling conflicts can now be saved by choosing to exclude the occurrences that conflict with another request.

Step 1: Upon submitting a schedule request that conflicts with pre-existing events the conflict detection message in orange below will appear after clicking save. Simply click the "Continue, saving non-conflicting occurrences only" button to save your request and discard all conflicting dates.

Schedule Request Lock-Out:

You can now require that a user submits a schedule request a certain number of days in advance by adjusting their user type settings. Note: Depending on your user type, you might not have permission to make these changes.

Step 1: Click "Organization" in the left sidebar and then click "User Types" near the top of the page. Next, click the edit icon across from the user type that you want to apply the lock-out policy to.

Step 2: Scroll down to the "Schedule Request Access" section. Enter the number of days in advance that a request must be submitted and click save at the bottom of the page.

Transportation Request Vehicle and Driver Conflict Detection:

Conflicts will now be detected when assigning vehicles and drivers to transportation requests.

The conflict detection message in red below will appear if you attempt to assign a vehicle to a transportation request that is already assigned for a conflicting time. If this happens, you can proceed by selecting a different vehicle that does not have an assignment conflict.

Transportation Request Lock-Out:
